Fun In The Sun

A Little Sunshine

Even though it is almost May it hasn't really felt like spring at all, especially since it snowed on Thursday. We have got a few breaks from the cold, and we could enjoy the warm weather. Three weeks ago we went over to Willow Park which is by our house and just played around. We were going to feed the ducks but Henley wanted to eat the bread instead. My Dad, Mason, and Kelsey came down to hang out too, and we had a good time.

I love this picture of Henley and Uncle Mason. It's funny how all of her uncles turn into softies when they get around her.

Playing Peek-A-Boo with a frisbee and Aunt Kelsey.

Henley loves the swings and the slides at parks. Here she is swinging away.

She is brave enough that I think she would rather swing by herself instead of with me.

And of course, Mason is proving your never too old to play.

Baby Animal Days

The Jensen Historical Farm has a Baby Animal Days Festival each spring. This year it was the weekend that we were in Park City so we didn't get to go. They also had the next two Saturdays with just the animals, no booths, food, etc. So, we decided to take Henley yesterday to see if she liked it. She loved all the animals and it was so nice because there was no crowds at all. Sorry there are so many pictures, but we couldn't resist. Also, pay no attention to the fact that I am wearing the same shirt as the above pictures, ha ha.

Holding the baby chickens

She got to feed the bunny rabbits.

Getting ready for the pony rides.

She has never seen a real horse up close before, but the pony was her favorite thing. She got to ride it twice and she loved it.

Hanging out with the ducks.

This was a very friendly goat and the pictures below are of her grandkids. The babies were only one week old and they were adorable.

Henley climbed right into the pig's pen, she loved them.

The last thing we did was feed the horses.

Then Henley was brave enough to throw some hay into the pen, but not to feed the horse herself. We had such a good time.

Play Date

London and Henley's Playdate
Henley had her first official playdate this last Tuesday with London. She is my friend Shea's little girl. Henley has played with Kendyl and Baylee before but she never gets to see London, so we made sure to get them together this time. We just gave them all the toys and let them play, I think they had fun.

London playing before Henley woke up from her nap.

We were trying to get a good picture of both girls smiling, I guess this will have to do.
Henley likes to feed her baby dolls their bottle, I guess she thought she was helping London.

At least they shared the bottle.

SPRING BREAK!

Even though Mark and I didn't technically get a spring break we took one anyway, unfortunately it wasn't together. He went to Lyman to see his brother in a play and I went to Park City with my family to go to the outlet mall and do a little shopping. The weather was a little chilly in Park City, ok it was just plain cold but we shopped anyway. The only pictures I have are of Henley and my brother Jake on the kiddie rides at the mall. I got a lot of shopping done, mostly for Henley's summer clothes it was a lot of fun.

HOGLE ZOO
Luckily, the next day the weather was so much warmer. We went to Hogle Zoo and it was about 60 degrees. Henley has been to the zoo once but she didn't really understand it. This time she had so much fun looking at the animals. Of course she didn't really want to be in her stroller but Kelsey and Grandma don't mind holding her.

Kelsey and Henley in the crocodile exhibit.

I wasn't paying attention when Kelsey took this picture. But here we are checking out the giraffes.

Checking out the elephants. Henley loved the elephants once she figured out that they were real.

We were standing in front of the black bear cage but there is no bear in this picture.

These are just pictures of the animals with no people, there was a baby giraffe that was so cute, but still taller than me.

Island Park

Since this weekend was Conference and we didn't have to teach primary, we decided to go to my dad's cabin in Island Park. Luckily, we were able to watch Conference up there and it was great. There was quite a bit of snow but we stayed inside and played games. It was fun to get away for a couple of days.

Henley really got into the game playing, or helping us play games.

Kyle and Larissa playing poker. Larissa was actually just the dealer but she did a great job.

Henley sure does love her uncles on both sides of the family, this is her with Uncle Mason and Uncle Jake.

My brother Jake is a bit of a freak and he has to find the hardest way to get around, so he decided to not use the stairs and us the log post to get downstairs.

Henley loves both grandma's. Here she is with my mom and then she decided to lay down and relax.

Silly Henley

Silly Henley
This last weekend Henley was a little out of control. She talked non-stop even though we can't understand much of what she says, and she found a new hiding spot. For some reason she like hiding in weird places. She will stand in corners, hide behind doors, and now figured out how to hide in her changing table. When we were in Hawaii she liked hiding in the bathroom cupboards, I guess she still enjoys hiding in small spaces. We just started using our video camera more so here are some videos instead of pictures.
This first video is of her talking our ears off this last Sunday, while looking out the window. She didn't want to get off the couch she liked looking outside just like our dogs do.

This is here finding a new hiding spot.

I can't believe how fast she is growing up, she is turning into a little girl instead of our little baby and I am a little sad but enjoying every minute of it.
